Hi all!  

A quick update, we are excited to share that the Take the Throne games have arrived in the UK! This is great news and means we are definitely on track for fulfilment and may even be able to start shipping earlier.

Next steps are to complete customs and the goods to arrive with Zatu who can then proceed with fulfilment!  As soon as we know when the goods are ready to begin shipping we will let you know in another update!

Shipping update - Addresses locked!

Hi all!  We are getting closer to fulfilling Take the Throne!  The games are currently on a ship heading towards the UK.  It is currently navigating around Africa and is due to arrive into the UK in the next couple of weeks.  This is great news and looks like we may be ahead of schedule.  

The next key step is to get through customs and so far everything is prepared for this.  Once we have cleared customs and the games are with Zatu in the UK, we can give a better indication of when fulfilment should start but it is looking possible that it will be earlier than our May target!

Many of you will have seen that the addresses have been locked in Backerkit and we will provide the addresses to Zatu in the coming days so they can prepare for shipping out the individual games.  For the very small few of you that havent finished the pledge in Backerkit yet, this is your last chance to do so!  

It is really exciting times now and we cant wait to start getting Take the Throne into your hands!

Charging cards and shipping update

Hi all!

Just a quick one to explain the latest status and that we will be charging cards soon for the shipping costs.

The games have left the Whatz facility and are currently on a ship heading towards the UK! The ETA to arrive in the UK will be towards the second half of March where they will then go through customs clearance and onto Zatu to begin fulfilment. 

We are hoping this might mean we can start fulfilment in April but cant commit to anything until the products have cleared customs and are in Zatu's hands! 

We have now locked orders on Backerkit and will shortly begin charging cards to cover the shipping costs as per your pledge on Backerkit.  Please keep an eye out for this email from Backerkit and let us know if you have any issues.  You wont have to do anything as your details have already been completed but it will mainly be a heads up of the shipping costs now being charged.

Locking orders shortly!

Hi all!  Just a quick one to confirm that we will be locking orders on Backerkit shortly!  Towards the end of this week we will hit the button to lock orders, this will allow us to start working on the shipping information for our fulfilment partner.  This will mean that the orders cant be changed e.g. if you wanted to add/change add ons etc.  Once you receive the notification, you will have 48 hours to make any changes before they are locked in. 

Note that this doesnt include shipping addresses so if you change address, you will still be able to change this in the pledge.

For the few that havent completed their pledge yet, please do so asap to avoid risking any issues with the shipping of the game.

January 2026 update - Production progress!

Happy New Year everyone!  For the first Kickstarter update of 2026, we are excited to share the status of production and some other key topics!

Production is complete!

The great news is that production of Take the Throne is complete!  The team of Whatz have shared a video of the game during production, check it out below.

We also received a mass production sample and gave it the all clear as it all looked great! What does this mean for timelines?  Well the products have left the Whatz production facility and will then go onto a shipment from China to the UK, to our fulfilment partners Zatu, who will then begin fufilment. So we are definitely looking on track for our May fulfilment target and may even be able to improve on it if things go well.  We will keep you updated once the products have left China!

Pledge Manager

This means that soon we can lock in the orders on the pledge manager.  Thanks to the 95% of people who have completed their pledge already!  There are just 7 people who need to complete their pledge.  If this is you, please can you do so as soon as possible.  Without an address to ship to, we wont be able to send the games to you so it is very important!  We will be sending out reminder emails from Backerkit on a regular basis until we lock the orders in and will give a final warning before doing so.

Looking forward to 2026

We are super excited for what 2026 will bring!  Obviously the biggest thing will be getting the game to all of you which is our biggest focus at the moment.  After this, we will again be exhibiting at UKGE at the end of May and will be adding some more events to our plans. Unfortunately we wont be attending Airecon in March as originally planned but do aim to go again in the future!

Lastly, we hope to progress our next game in 2026.  That's right! The Winter break gave us some time to work on our new idea for the next game from Deathtrap Games.  We are currently in very early prototyping stage of an ocean themed card game - A bidding set collection card game for 2-4 players.  As with Take the Throne it will aim to be a fun, tactical and fast card game with lots of interactivity.  It is very early days for this but we plan to continue working on this and hopefully have an early prototype version that we can show at UKGE in May!  If you like the sound of it please let us know!
