Hi all. We are happy to share that fulfilment is now complete for Take the Throne! Everyone should now have received their copies of the game across the world and we can start wrapping up what has been an awesome campaign. If you had any issues and still haven't received your pledge for any reason, please reach out to us directly!
We wanted to use this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all of you who supported us in bringing Take the Throne to life, from an idea to a real game out in the wild. It has been such a journey going back over 3 years since the original conception of the game and we have loved every minute of it, including engaging with you all through playtesting, shows and of course during the campaign.
So THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible!
What's next for Deathtrap Games? Well, now we have the physical copies of Take the Throne, we will be selling these for retail across exhibitions and at some retailers. Our next big event is UKGE at the end of May, and are aiming to create a free Monarch promo pack to give to people who visit us - So if you are attending, make sure to come and say hello at the stand, hall 3, stand B75!
We will also be bringing a prototype copy of Corallium to test on the stand so if you want to try it, just come along!
Corallium will likely be our big focus for the next 12-18 months and we want to make it our second game from Deathtrap Games. We will be playtesting and refining the game for the rest of the year as well as working on the actual artwork. If everything goes well we would hope to run a Kickstarter campaign in 2027. Fulfilment update and more!

Hi all! Fulfilment of Take the Throne is now well underway so we wanted to give an update on the status as well as some other bits!
Status of deliveries
UK - Shipments were delivered towards the end of last week and they should all be completed now. If anyone in the UK hasn't received their copies yet, please reach out and let us know!
Europe - Europe deliveries have started to be delivered this week and we have seen some people send us some photos across Europe.
US and ROW - US backers have started to receive their copies today. If you haven't yet, they should be coming very soon!
It has been so great to see people receiving their games and also the lovely messages received from everyone on how much they are enjoying the game. It honestly means so much to us to hear this from so many people. As you know, this was our first game and it is such a great feeling to have so many people support us on the journey to get here, now it all feels real!

Introducing Corallium!
In our last update, we introduced the new game we are working on - Corallium! It's a card game set in the ocean where you will be collecting creatures and coral cards in order to score the most points. We can share a little more info on how the game works and the early prototype pics..
Each round, players will bid on the available creatures by placing their fish marker on the card they want. A larger fish marker can bump a smaller one so you won't always get the card you want!
Ocean creatures will have different scoring criteria and not all are positive scoring so you also want to avoid the negative ones!
After collecting your ocean creatures, you add them to your tableau and then purchase coral cards which can grant additional scoring criteria or special abilities.
We have started playtesting already and are excited with how it is developing. If you would like to follow our progress, please follow the Kickstarter page below!

Upcoming events
Now we are in April, we are moving into exhibition season and are excited to be able to offer Take the Throne for the first time. We also are planning to playtest Corallium on our stands this year so if you are coming to any over the events, please make sure to say hello! Our confirmed events so far are:
May 9/10 - Fable Fusion, Pendennis Castle, Cornwall, UK
May 29-31 - UKGE, Birmingham, UK
August 8/9 - Roll the Dice Expo, Helston, Cornwall, UK
We will hopefully be adding some more events to the list as well so keep an eye out!

Hi all! Apologies for the back to back updates but you may have seen that fulfilment has started already! Zatu have done an awesome job turning around the games and they are already on their way to backers!
For UK backers, you should receive the games as early as this week! For Europe and US backers obviously it will take a bit longer but hopefully not too long.
We are super excited for Take the Throne to be making its way into the hands of you all and are looking forward to seeing pics of you receiving the items!

A new game....?
As we are close to fulfilling Take the Throne, it is probably a good time to let you in a little secret.. we have started working on what is planned to be our next game! Currently in the early prototyping stage, Corallium is a set collection game where you bid on the cards to add to your tableau. We will be testing this throughout 2026. We will certainly tell you more in future updates but for now, please check out the link below and follow the campaign if you would like to receive updates on it's development!

Hi all!
A quick update, we are excited to share that the Take the Throne games have arrived in the UK! This is great news and means we are definitely on track for fulfilment and may even be able to start shipping earlier.
Next steps are to complete customs and the goods to arrive with Zatu who can then proceed with fulfilment! As soon as we know when the goods are ready to begin shipping we will let you know in another update!

Hi all! We are getting closer to fulfilling Take the Throne! The games are currently on a ship heading towards the UK. It is currently navigating around Africa and is due to arrive into the UK in the next couple of weeks. This is great news and looks like we may be ahead of schedule.
The next key step is to get through customs and so far everything is prepared for this. Once we have cleared customs and the games are with Zatu in the UK, we can give a better indication of when fulfilment should start but it is looking possible that it will be earlier than our May target!
Many of you will have seen that the addresses have been locked in Backerkit and we will provide the addresses to Zatu in the coming days so they can prepare for shipping out the individual games. For the very small few of you that havent finished the pledge in Backerkit yet, this is your last chance to do so!
It is really exciting times now and we cant wait to start getting Take the Throne into your hands!
